Yes, that is right. You have a little more than 130 DAYS before MOPE (management of perspective economics) falls into the abyss of loss of confidence in the US dollar.

The event will be the birth of hyperinflation in the US and elsewhere to the horror of the spin media. Crude has been trying to explain this to the public, but so far they have not gotten a clue. Crude strength is being called a hedge against the dollar as fundamental energy analysts are hard pressed to explain a rise from $30 into the $70s with NO pick up in US economic activity and NO massive draw down on supplies. The oil price is an example of the arcane and exoteric mechanism of hyperinflation soon to take gold to $1224, $1650 and then on to Alf and Armstrong’s numbers. This phenomenon is something that the murderous Children of the Corn that run the hedge funds will not accept until it happens.

     I became interested in the apparent intersection between Scripture (Ezekiel 38 & 39) and current events in April 2006 when reading about Pres. Ahmadinejad's desire to destroy Israel. Regarding the Iranian nuclear program, see Alternative Assessment of Status of Iranian NWP which includes the concern that the Iranians may have collected enough plutonium for 2-4 bombs from the poorly monitored research reactor in Tehran.     The Israeli opinion is that there may have been a stoppage of the Iranian nuclear weapons program in 2003, but it was quickly restarted thereafter (in the new superhardened underground concrete double cylinders supposedly impervious to conventional airstrikes).  Israel believes Iran may have a weapon by early 2009 or 2010.             There continue to be concerns regarding Pakistan, see Continued Concern re: the Security of Pakistani Nuclear Weapons from Intercessors for America prayer e-mail of 22 Aug 08, Pakistan's willingness to help the US in Afghanistan may be waning 7 Sep 08, and foxnews.com carried an article on Thursday 18 Sep 08 that Pakistani forces had been ordered to fire on further American incursions into their country.      There are seven major prophetic signs of the Second Coming, and for the first time in history all seven are in some stage of fulfillment.      I believe the Rapture (disappearance of all true believers in Christ, both living and dead [See I Thessalonians chap 4 and I Corinthians 15]) may occur on Rosh Hashanah year unknown but likely soon. [This assumes the Rapture occurs before any nuclear attack on the US (see "Rumors of Impending Attack on US" August 10 2007.  ).             There is concern by some that repeated demands by the US and less so by the EU for Israel to trade land for permanent peace is a likely to bring God’s judgement according to Genesis chap 12 verse 3, (God speaking to Abraham) “And I will bless those that bless thee and curse those that curse thee: and in thee shall all the families of the earth be blessed.”  (KJV)  See Israel the Blessing or the Curse by John McTernan and Bill Koenig pub in 2001.  There are more than 15 examples of severe storms or stock market drops occurring within 1 week of the US twisting the arms of Israel to give up territory promised to Abraham in order to attempt to pacify the Muslims. I think gold will break the 1000 barrier monday, and the dollar will be somewhere in the 78 range. It's all in the Fed's hands right now, and it will be interesting to see what they do. I feel that no matter what they do, their cooked.

As far as the Consumer Confidence numbers, the masses think things are getting better, and i am taking the contrarian view... away from the herd. Things are getting worse by the day, with no options available.
